1. Courtney had to deal with a lot of stress during Justin's illness. She was a senior in high school and was involved with many things including playing softball. She was under a lot of stress in general because it was her boyfriend that was sick. I think that she responded very well to his illness. She could have just moped around and been upset the whole time, but instead she used him as inspiration. She tried to play better in her games as if she was doing it for him, and she spent the rest of her free time either with Justin or raising money to help pay for Justin's medical bills. This helped her cope with the whole situation because it was almost as if she did not leave time for her to feel sad, and she did everything that she could so that after the fact there could be no way that she blamed herself for him not recovering.
2. Justin gave Courtney the promise ring even though he knew he was going to die because him being that ill and near death made him realize the things that were important to him and Courtney was at the top of the list. He did it to display how strong their commitment was and to show Courtney how much he cared even if he was not going tto be around in the future to make it actually happen. This factor helped them both cope with the illness because they knew they were in it together.
3. This article shows that coping with tragedy can not always be a horrible thing. Courtney didn't just get upset over her boyfriend's illness, she did something about it. She worked hard to raise money for him, and she wouldn't sleep until she felt she had made a difference. Sometimes she would spend late nights with him despite the fact that she had to get up early the next day to go to a training session.
4. I thought the tone and structure of this article was really good. It really engaged the audience into showing how strong Courtney and Justin's relationship was and how dedicated they both were. The tone of this article was definately not a happy one, but it was also not a sad one. It was almost reassuring and comforting to know that there are people out there who are so devoted and selfless.

Me: Welcome to our discussion today about the piracy of music. I will begin by asking about the consequences that people should face for downloading illegally ad distributing illegally. Do you think that everyone who illegally downloads and distributes should get prosecuted for a crime?
RIAA: I think that anyone who illegally downloads music should be prosecuted as criminals, and should be charged for their crime of stealing. There are many laws against it and if people are not following these laws, then they should be prosecuted. People who illegally sell and distribute music should definitely be prosecuted because they are trying to sell other people's creative work, without the artist making any money off of it.
JS: I don't think that everyone who "illegally" downloads should not necessarily be prosecuted. Some people are just at home listening to their music that was share over the internet. Some of these people do not have the money to pay for the music in the first place never mind the fines that would be bestowed upon them if they were to get caught. I do agree that if someone tries to sell an artist's creative work without the proper copyrights and and without that artist getting any of the money, then that person should be prosecuted.
